Mark Shainblum

Mark Shainblum was born and raised in Montreal, where he and illustrator Gabriel Morrissette co-created the acclaimed indy superhero series Northguard. Later, the team created the parody series Angloman, which appeared in two bestselling books from Signature Editons, and later as a weekly comic strip in the Montreal Gazette._x000D_

In science fiction, Mark has published short fiction in On Spec, Island Dreams: Montreal Writers of the Fantastic and other markets, and he co-edited the Aurora Award-winning anthology Arrowdreams: An Anthology of Alternate Canadas with John Dupuis. Mark co-edited Superhero Universe: Tesseracts Nineteen, with Claude Lalumière, which was published in April, 2016 by Edge Publishing. With Andrea Lobel, Mark is also the co-editor of Other Covenants: Alternate Histories of the Jewish People, to be published by CZP in Spring 2020._x000D_

Mark is a recipient of the Aurora Award and was inducted into the Canadian Comic Book Creator Hall of Fame in 2016. He currently lives in Ottawa.
