Jerome is a writer whose work has appeared in Fantasy, Lightspeed's Queers Destroy Science Fiction, Tor.com, Strange Horizons, several Tesseracts anthologies and other magazines and journals. His 2016 self-illustrated collection of stories, The Angels of Our Better Beasts (ChiZine), was longlisted for the Sunburst Award. His short story, "Lemmings in the Third Year" was shortlisted for the Fountain Award. He is a graduate
of Clarion 2007 (UCSD), a Milton Fellow, and a Lambda Literary Fellow (2013).

He was also a co-editor on Wrestling With Gods (EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy), an anthology of speculative literature examining faith, and on Imaginarium 4: The Best Canadian Speculative Literature (ChiZine).

He's been a trolley conductor, an embedded journalist in a subarctic field station, a vaudeville performer, and worked at both Sagamore Hill, the Theodore Roosevelt home on Long Island and in the ice age museum, The Beringia Center up in the Yukon Territory. He is a dual citizen of Canada and the US, loves coffee, plays D&D, geeks out on scifi TV, dates bears, and teaches creative writing currently at the University of Dayton, OH.
