Novelist turned game creator Jim Munroe will establish the principle of player agency vs. authorial control, briefly demo his touchscreen-friendly, browser-based interactive fiction tool Texture, and end with a workshop that demonstrates the emotional potential of choice-based games via some pencil and paper prototyping. Laptops welcome but not required.
