Dungeons and Dramas: Telling a Story in Tabletop Gaming

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Tabletop games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and Fate grow in popularity every year, and with shows like The Adventure Zone and Critical Role, the use of them as a method of storytelling is gaining in popularity as well. What storytelling opportunities does this collaborative, chance-based media provide –for experimentation, networking, and maybe even money? What needs to be considered, both as a DM/GM, and as a player? How can we craft a compelling story while still trying to play a fun game, and being tied to the whims of the dice?
